そういえば、ホテルのヤツは、
エジプト料理のレストランでベリーダンスのショーもやっている
って言っていたのに、やってなかったな・・・
まあいいか。
さて、カイロのホテルで一泊して翌朝、
ピラミッドに向かって出発です。
あまり景色が変わらないなあ。
相変わらず、なんだかあちこち工事している感じ。
でも、建築中なのか、建築途中で放置されたのか、よく分らない建物ばかり。
クラクションが鳴り止まない道路。ふーん、ふーんと思っていると、
バスのウィンドウからピラミッドが見えてくる。
東京だと、東京タワーが見えるとか、六本木ヒルズ見えてくるといった感じかなあ。
でも、見えているのは、巨大な遺跡。
ちょっと不思議です。
前回は、街中からラクダに乗って、
裏道を通ったりしながらピラミッドの近くまで行きましたが、
バスで真横まで行って見られるように整備されたとかで、
ピラミッド近くまでバスで行きます。
あれ、なんかデカイ。
前回は、この隣のピラミッドだったのか？
徒歩でピラミッドそばに行き、ちょっと登ったところにある穴から、
ピラミッド中に突入します。
狭いです。蒸し暑いです。
灯りはついています。ん？と思ってよく見ると、
うまく電線が隠されています。
電線をセメントで埋めたのかどうか分らなかったけど、
加工はされています。
以前入った穴は、まだ誰も入っていない
と、言っていたのに、手垢はいっぱい。ガムの紙くずまでありましたからねえ、
観光させるのに、電気を通し、キレイに隠すだけマシか。
でもねえ、何かがあるかもしれない、
と思って、あのピラミッドの中に入って行くのは、
ドキドキするのですよねえ。怖いけど。
ハアハア言いながら、急勾配を上りたどり着いたのは、
謎の小部屋。
人が密集しています。
酸素薄そうです。逃げ道は今来た一本だけ。
怖いです。
あ
なんか、部屋の奥に、箱がある。
覗いてみよう。
・・・
何も入ってない。
クソー。このパターン、前回もやったのにー。
ピラミッドから出たら
砂漠の民族に会いました。
「ラクダに乗ってみるか？」
と、言うので、
「それは楽か？」
と聞いたら、
「ラクダ。」
と答えてきた。（ウソ）
ラクダに乗って、砂漠をお散歩です。
いやあ、砂漠だなあ。
しかし、砂漠を歩くより楽だけど、
コイツに乗って、ずっと旅するのは、
尻の皮がもたないですね。
G持ちは、たぶん死にます。
ラクダに乗っていても、隊列の後ろの方にいるのは気に入らない。
モタモタしているラクダは、手綱を引いている現地人がムチを入れたりしますが、
足りない。
口を鳴らすというのでしょうか、チッチッチッと音を出してラクダを急かしたりするのですが、
ずっとチッチッとやっても、なんか、他のラクダのとこに寄っていったりして、
ちっとも前に行きやしない。
僕のラクダは、久保選手のおケツがお気に入り。
顔をずっと、おケツ横において、ついていきます。
どうやら目標地点に到着。
といっても、記念撮影ポイントっていうだけなんですけどね。
そこからピラミッドを見つめるわけですが、
今は何もない砂漠のここも、
むかーしむかしは、なにやら建造物があったり、
今の文明ではまだ解明されていない科学が存在していたのかもしれない。
ピラミッドだって、あれは本来の姿ではないのかもしれない。
単なるお墓ではなく、違う機能としての存在だったのかも。
そんな感慨深さを、
微塵も感じさせることなく、
ラクダの上に、立ったりしてみます。
だって、手綱の人が、やれっというんだもん。
しかし、なんでみんなこのポーズをやらせるんだろう。
遠近法で、ピラミッドを手で持ってるカットが欲しいんだろうけど、
これ、全然アングル合ってませんから・・・
「ああああ！痛い痛い！」
ん？
あ、
谷岡選手、横になったラクダの下敷きになってる・・・
折り返し地点からは、先頭集団で戻っていきます。
終盤抜け出した二頭。トップ久保選手。
相変わらずおケツを追う僕のラクダは必死についていきますが、
最後は逃げられ、ちょっとあきらめ気味の二位で、発着所に到着。
ま、誰もレースしてないんですけどねえ。
西洋文明のケンタッキーを眺める
スフィンクスを眺めながら、
しばしティータイムです。
チョロチョロ寄ってくる、みやげ物売りに、
軽くボッタくられのを悔しがりつつ、
お茶を飲みます。
円高の今、ますますボラれやすくなってますね。
やっぱり「日本人か？」と聞かれたら、「そうだ」と答えちゃあいけませんね。
デンジャラスな国名を答えておけばよかった。
そこから・・・
昼ご飯食べに行ったんだっけ？
どっちが先だったか忘れた。
エジプト料理のレストラン。

ここは・・・
昨夜行ったレストラン・・・
大衆の味じゃなくて、体臭の味のレストラン。
まさかここにまた来るとは。
「おお、オレを覚えているか？昨夜来たオレ達だよー」
昨夜いたマネージャーに話しかける林田メカ。
「ＮＯ」
とか、あっさり言われます。
ケッ、冷たいヤツだな。
あんなにチップはずんでやったのに。
と、思っていたら、
よーく、よーーく見ると、
違うヤツだった・・・
だって、同じ顔に見えるんだもん。
顔の濃さが、若干違うだけ。
判別は、目が大きいとか、口が小さいとかじゃ、できない。
濃淡です。
名前だって、街で「ムハメッド！！」
って、叫んだら、何人も振り向くに違いない。
ま、日本人も、外から見たら、そう見えるだろうけど。
そして・・・
ああ、やっぱり同じメニューが出てきた。
でも、あそこの味、けっこう気にいっています。
本当に体臭の味はしませんから・・・
