Hack allows for Magic Mouse scrolling in Windows

A hack that allows Apple's Magic Mouse to have scrolling functionality in Windows is now reportedly available.

ということでAppleのMagic MouseをWindowsで使う方法が紹介されています。

Self-styled geek tech Website uneasysilence.com reports a way to extract both the 32-bit, and 64-bit Windows drivers in the latest Apple Bluetooth Update 1.0 for Windows by using WinRar, a popular compression utility.

Windows XP（32bit）から最新のWindows 7まで問題なく動作したようです。

やり方はまずAppleのサイトからBluetooth Update 1.0 for Windowsをダウンロードしてきます。

で、ダウンロードしてきたファイルはAppleBcUpdate.exeというEXE形式のものなのですが、それをダブルクリックしただけだと、

この更新はこのコンピュータ用に設計されたものではないため、インストールされません。

というメッセージが表示されます。まあ、Boot Camp用のドライバなのでApple製のマシンじゃないとだめなんでしょう。

で、先に引用の中で「WinRarを使って」という記述があったので、とりあえずAppleBcUpdate.exeの拡張子を「.rar」に変更してrar解凍してみます。すると現れましたよ、5つのファイル！

1．AppleBcInstaller.exe
2．AppleBluetoothBroadcomInstaller.exe
3．AppleBluetoothBroadcomInstaller64.exe
4．AppleWirelessMouse.exe
5．AppleWirelessMouse64.exe

「64」と入っているのは64bit用だと思うのですが、32bitな人はとりあえず「4」だけ実行してみればいいのかな？（Broadcom用のドライバのアップデートは要らないと思う）。
