Google Chrome Releases: Dev Channel Update

Early version of Geolocation API now available with following caveats:

ということでデフォルトはオフなんですが、起動オプションを与えてあげるとGeolocation APIが有効になるようです。

手順は以下の通りです。

1. To enable, run the browser with --enable-geolocation
2. Wifi based location is only supported on Windows and Mac (not OSX 10.6 for now)
3. Permissions are not persisted (will re-prompt every time) and associated UI is incomplete.

MacのChromeを起動オプション付きで起動するのはどうしたらいいのか、と思い調べてみたら、

Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/Resources/

の下にarguments.txtというファイルを置いてそこに起動オプションを書いてあげればよい、というのがわかったんだけど、やってみたけどそれっぽメニューが登場していないので「？」と思ったら、ちゃんと先の手順の中で「 (not OSX 10.6 for now)」って書いてあるじゃん。

そんなわけでWindowsの人やMac OS X 10.5の人は試してみてください。
